Gap open 1st Flagship shop in Hong Kong

Gap Inc. Now proclaimed the found of its 1st flagship shop in Hong Kong. The shop will be Gap’s 9th in the Greater China area as the company goes on to amplify the international reach of its brands through its dealership, internet and company-operated channels.

The new shop spans more than 15,000 square feet over 4 levels on the sought-after Queens route in Hong Kong’s burgeoning primal zone. The store position is housed in a beautiful new building with an prize winning architectural intention. With big floor-to-ceiling windows, white marble and Chinese oak tree wooden floors, the shop produces an inviting and animating surroundings for clients to shop collections from Gap, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody.

“Opening in Hong Kong is a momentous affair and exhibits Gap Inc.’s continued dedication to make our affirmative American style more promptly available to Chinese consumers,” alleged Redmond Yeung, chairman of Gap Greater China. “Based on the requirement levels we have experienced through e-commerce sales over the last year, we recognize that Hong Kong buyer have a heavy appetite for Gap’s low-cost, high-quality and uniquely American vogue.”

Gap Inc. celebrated its 1st day of remembrance in China this month, and during this time has increased 4 shops in Shanghai and 4 in Beijing. Besides Hong Kong, the company will open new shops in Shanghai, HangZhou and Tianjin over the coming months. Since debut the ecommerce site www.gap.cn last year, internet orders have been logged from over 330 cities in China, covering all parts of the country. The company anticipates to grow the fleet to about 45 shops in China by the end of financial 2012.
